I was a team lead on the 2015 frontage for Disorient after helping with the 2014 Helios and the 2013 Pyramid. The Urban Plan is taken very seriously so that it looks good from space as well as from the Esplanade. It's a huge undertaking for the entire Disorient camp -- we want to be sure that the layout, the construction, the decorations, the lighting, the sound and the talent all work well together.
The idea was to create "opera boxes" that open onto a performance area on the Esplanade. There will be lots of pink and orange fabric, of course.
Construction will involve erecting the center section, then the wings. The decoration and signage will take a while.
