From Trammell Hudson's Projects
I brought one of my Model 15 Teletypes to the New York Historical Society's "SiliconCity" event and introduced a large number of guests to the "email of the 1930s". We had the teletype connected to the macbook so that they could engage in chats with other guests.
Many of the younger visitors just mashed on the keys, but some of them engaged in lengthy conversations over the real-time chat that the teletype provided. It was very much The Victorian Internet experience for many of them.
