The BeagleBone Black pario PRU firmware provides up to 55 channels of 50 MHz outputs, suitable for driving ws2812 LEDs, LED matrices, DMX, SPI displays or anything that needs lots of parallel I/O. Well, O only. Not so much I, since all of the pins are in output mode.
